National Model Search Winners and Sponsors

 January was something of a blur for us here at TattooApparel.com . In late December we announced our National Model Search Contest Winners and the first half of January was spent pulling things together for the Photo Shoot.

Our Contest Winners were Beau from MA and Adrienne from KY. They received an expense paid trip to Southern California for four nights, a wardrobe prize package and took part in a photo shoot for TattooApparel.com. During there stay in Southern California they spend some time at the beach in Santa Monica and dined at some fun restaurants including the House of Blues at Downtown Disney. Both winners really enjoyed the warm California weather as they were coming from snowy conditions. Beau and Adrienne were a lot of fun and we enjoyed having them here with us.

When they arrived in Southern California on Saturday, January 22nd they visited the Perpetual Vogue Boutique to see their wardrobe prizes and enjoy some champagne before checking into their hotel. TattooApparel.com wishes to thank the other wardrobe prize sponsors. They include Tres Noir who supplied two pair of hand made sunglasses to each winner, T.U.K. Shoes who supplied three pair of shoes to each winner, Femme Metale Sterling Silver Jewelry who supplied $200.00 of Sterling Silver Jewelry to each winner, Cartel Ink who supplied lots of shirts to each winner and Rock House who supplied shirts to the male contest winner. Adrienne also received fashions from Perpetual Vogue including dresses, skirts, jeans and corsets. Beau also received DCOY Jeans and shirts from Fender and Sailor Jerry from TattooApparel.com.

The big photo shoot took place on Monday, January 24th at a beautiful 70,000 s.f. mansion overlooking the ocean in Palos Verdes Estates California. The day started with a visit to Primarily Hair in La Habra California for hair and makeup services. Primarily Hair was a contest sponsor and they opened the salon for just our group that morning. We were welcomed by their smiling staff with breakfast and a big Congratulations sign for our winners. Make Up Artist Gianna Collica then went to the photo shoot location to take care of make up and hair touch ups for the day. Gianna is a veteran of many TattooApparel.com photo shoots and is always a huge help in keeping things organized. Photography for the photo shoot was by contest sponsor, Painted Pinups Photography. Painted Pinups specializes in Pin Up style photography but they also do some amazing marketing and product photography for us on our shoots. Also taking part in this photo shoot were Metal Sanaz, the gorgeous lady of heavy metal music and our good friend Heath who has modeled for us in the past. Heath was on double duty as he was also shooting video for us as his company HMC Creative does some killer videos.  We just started going through the photos from the shoot and there are some really gorgeous shots. We look forward to getting them up on our site as we add the new styles from the photo shoot onto the web site over the next several weeks.

TattooApparel.com National Model Search is now open - Enter Now!

The TattooApparel.com National Model Search Contest is now Live. Men and Women over the age of 21 who have not modeled for TattooApparel.com in the past are eligible to enter. No previous modeling experience is necessary, tattoos are not necessary and no purchase is required to enter. Entering is FREE. One male and one female winner will be chosen from the entrants.

The Contest will run through December 15th. The two winners will receive a trip to Southern California to take part in a Professional Photo Shoot for TattooApparel.com. They will receive airline tickets, four nights in a hotel and a wardrobe prize package valued at $1,000.00 (one thousand dollars). The Photo Shoot will take place in January, 2011. Tattoo Apparel and Perpetual Vogue staff will take the winners out for a couple of evenings on the town during their stay in California. A night at the Anaheim House of Blues and an evening a the Brea Improc Comedy Club are likely to be part of the fun.

Orange County Register Profiles Perpetual Vogue - TattooApparel.com

This week the largest newspaper in Orange County California profiled the Perpetual Vogue Store and TattooApparel.com in an article on their web site which will later run in the print version of the newspaper. Reporter Lou Ponsi of the Orange County Register came out to a recent photo shoot for the Perpetual Vogue Store along with his photographer. They shot some behind the scenes photos of the fashion photo shoot and spent some time speaking with the participants. Twenty of the behind the scenes photos are posted in a gallery on the Orange County Register's online version of the story.

Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com schedule photo shoots for their fashions periodically using local models, photographers, hair and makeup artists. The photography team from Painted Pinups does most of the photography for the Perpetual Vogue photo shoots. Painted Pinups specializes in Pin Up Photography but their team does a great job with the fashion shoots for Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com . For this most recent photo shoot hair and makeup artist Gianna Collica was on hand all day to keep the models looking great.

The models for this Perpetual Vogue photo shoot were Cody Gardner, Octavian Milano, Kellie Lauren Johnnie and Heath Cofran.

Perpetual Vogue and TattooApparel.com plan to do a National Model Search Contest later this year which will allow anyone over 21 in the United States to enter for the opportunity to win a trip to Southern California to take part in a photo shoot.

Special Event at Perpetual Vogue - Tattoo Apparel

The Perpetual Vogue Store in La Habra California will be having a Special Event on Sunday, October 18th. If you are in the area come on out and enjoy or Rockers and Pin Up Girls Sale Event.

From 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. we will be having a sidewalk sale with items priced between $10.00 - $30.00. Sidewalk Sale items will include ladies dresses from Switchblade Stiletto, Ladies Sailor Jerry Clothing along with many Mens items including shirts and jackets. At the same time inside the store EVERY ITEM will be on sale. Many items will be marked at 20 % off and any regular priced item/non sale item will receive a 15% discount off its marked price.















During the event we will be featuring Live Music from two bands. Southern Rock Band, Uncle Daddy will be bringing their shit kicking music to the suburbs. Uncle Daddy has performed at many Hollywood venues including The Roxy and The Key Club. We are known for being eclectic so we figured the perfect second band for our event would be an all female Rock Band. Sugar and Chaos, an all female Punk Rock Band will also be here to Rock the afternoon away. Sugar and Chaos have performed at The Whisky in Hollywood and at many local venues including the SlideBar in Fullerton.










Also on hand will be the staff of Painted Pinups showcasing some of their amazing Pin Up Style Photography. Pin Up Models Kristabelle and Jessica D will also be on hand and will sign their posters which will be on sale at the event. Kristabelle was the winner of the Rumble in Ramona Pin Up Contest and recently graced the cover of The Local Squeeze Magazine. Jessica D has won the MoonEyes Pin Up Contest and has graced the cover of many Tattoo Magazines. Come on out and meet the models. If you have evered wanted to do a Pin Up Photo Shoot of your own come on out and speak to the staff at Painted Pinups to hear about their services.

At 7:00 attendees can choose to stay for a Free Movie Under the Stars. Magnolia Country Store is right next door and they will be taking part by showing a Free Movie Outside to tie in with our event. The plan is to show Viva Las Vegas to tie in with the music and girls theme. Magnolia is a great place to shop for all things vintage. They will be open during our event and during the movie for evening shopping. If you would like to attend the movie be sure to bring along lawn chairs as the movie is shown outside and you will need chairs to sit in. You can also order food from Pizza Club and it will be delivered to you right at the movie.

Pin Ups and Rockers Photo Shoot for TattooApparel.com

When you are in the retail fashion industry photo shoots are something that have to be done for online sales listings and overall marketing. Those who are not in the industry tend to think that fashion shoots are glamorous and easy. Anyone who is actually in the industry will tell you that photo shoots are a lot of work and many retailers dread them.

We find that the way to make fashion shoots enjoyable is to work with people you enjoy being around and like anything else you need a plan. We did a shoot last Sunday for the Perpetual Vogue Store, TattooApparel.com and PerpetualVogue.com and it was nothing short of fabulous. We are calling it our "Rockers Meet Pin Ups" Shoot as some of the models we used were Pin Up Models and some of our male models were the guys from the up and coming Los Angeles Rock Band, Black Star Hollow. TattooApparel.com is in the process of a site redesign so we planned lots of lifestyle type shots for future use on the new site design. To bring our plans to fruition we worked with our favorite photographers, the team from Painted Pinups and also contacted the local classic car club, American StreetRodders and a local chopper designer to bring us some cool cars and hot bikes for the shoot.










We did our standard product shots in our warehouse but added in some other fun scenario shots for specific products such as a shot with two of our lovely models, Briana and Kristabel acting out the scene from the back of our Exclusive Lucky 13/Perpetual Vogue Tattoo Girls T Shirt and some shots with the girls dressed just like the stag party entertainers on our Lucky 13 Stag Party shirt - I think our male model, West really enjoyed the stag party shots!

















We like using guys in Rock Bands as models because they really fit our customer demographic and tend to be naturals at posing as they are accustomed to performing. We had a great time with Brian, Jack and Jackie of Black Star Hollow. We recommend that everyone check them out on MySpace. Their music is great and we are very excited about their soon to be released EP.

















For this project we did lots of location shots that came out great. We shot lots of photos inside of the the garage at White Automotive in La Habra. White Automotive is located right next to the Perpetual Vogue Store on Whittier Boulevard in La Habra and the garage has a great retro look...and by the way if you are in the area and need auto service they do great work. We have our cars serviced there and have always been very pleased with the work. We also took some photos at Perpetual Vogue's other neighbor, Magnolia Country Store to get some great urban looking shots of the models in front of retro looking Airstream Trailers. Magnolia is a treasure trove of interesting things for anyone into retro collectibles.

Pin Up Girl Photo Shoot and Special Shopping Event

The Perpetual Vogue Boutique in Southern California is pleased to announce a new monthly event in coordination with Painted PinUps Photography. The team at Painted Pinups do amazing photography and artistic photo editing that is above and beyond the work of other photographers we have seen in the industry. Perpetual Vogue has known the staff at Painted Pinups for years and have used their photography services in the past and have referred customers to them who were looking to have private and group Pin Up photo shoots done.

We encourage our customers to do a photo shoot as artistic pin up girl shots of yourself are something that you and/or your loved ones will cherish for a lifetime.
