New styles of Jewelry that Rockers love to wear

When our designer collaborates with our favorite jewelry designer/fabricator the results are pendants that the men (and the ladies ) of Rock love to wear.

When coming up with ideas for new pendant designs we often have a specific Rocker in mind for prototype or the first piece of a new design. Joel Hoekstra of Night  Ranger has been a customer for years and as such we have some understanding of his style.

We co-designed our latest Fleur de Lis Pendant with Joel in mind. The design is a dark metal Fleur Design set on a semi-precious Dalmation Stone surrounded by jet hematite crystals in a dark metal setting. Here is a photo of yours truly with the guys from Night Ranger in which Joel is wearing his new pendant.

Night Ranger has several upcoming concert dates. They put on a fabulous show. Joel Hoekstra has also become part of TSO for upcoming East Coast Tour dates and continues to perform on Broadway and in the touring show of Rock of Ages. He is the busiest guitarist around!

We were recently asked to assist with the styling of Canadian Rock Band, SoulHeavy . Thinking about these guys style and wear they wanted to go with new stage wear got us thinking about a new type of Rocker Jewelry pendant. Dog Tags have always been a popular necklace design but I think that they are a bit too simple looking for a real Rocker and need something more to make them unique and edgy. To that end we just added four new pendant combos to our Rocker Jewelry offerings that are a combination of a metal design embellished Dog Tag with the addition of a Metal Pendant hanging together from a d-ring on a heavy metal chain (no cheesy ball chains here). We are loving these new designs, the first of each will soon be in the hands of the band members of SoulHeavy.  These designs are now available on TattooApparel.com for anyone that wants to rock their wardrobe with unique accessories.

 

Night Ranger to Rock California with Journey

If you have read this blog in the past then you know that our staff are big fans of guitarist Joel Hoekstra. Personally I am in awe of the schedule that Joel keeps. He manages to be in New York on Broadway in Rock of Ages one night and then performing with Night Ranger somewhere else the next night. The dude must have tons of frequent flyer miles!

If you are in Southern California then you have the opportunity to see Joel performing with Night Ranger at the San Manuel Amphitheater (formerly Glen Helen Pavilion) next Saturday, August 1st. We checked with Joel this morning and he assured us that he will be there with Night Ranger that night as part of the double bill show with Journey.

We were blown away by the photos he took of Joel and Night Ranger at Rocklahoma. Rock of Ages goes to Broadway!

We heard recently from one of our favorite guitarists, Joel Hoekstra of Night Ranger that the off - Broadway Show, Rock of Ages was on its way to Broadway. The show opens on Broadway in less than a week. We are excited for Joel and the rest of the cast (which includes Constantine of American Idol fame) to see this show hit Broadway. Rock of Ages features Rock Music from the 80's including songs from Nightranger, Journey, Styx and Bon Jovi.

In a message we received from Joel this morning he mentioned that he wears one of the Rocker Jewelry pendants ( one with a cobra on it ) that he purchased from RockerJewelry.com while on stage in the show. Rockin Jewelry for Rock Stars and the Common Man or Woman

Rock n Roll has had a strong influence on fashion for as long as I can remember. As fashions get edgier this influence is seen more and more. Lets face it Rock Stars are seen as being edgy and living on the cutting edge to start with. Some Rockers have custom made wardrobe items created to wear on stage and it is not uncommon to shortly afterwards see similar design details appear in popular clothing lines to appeal to the masses. Guys that years ago would never consider wearing a pendant are now seen sporting chains with Skulls, Tattoo Art, Crowns and Anchor designs.
